DUFE 2026 Intake International Chinese Teacher Scholarship Application Procedures
For the purpose of satisfying the growing demands of the international community for Chinese language teachers and facilitating Chinese language education in other countries. The Center for Language Education and Cooperation (CLEC) will continue with the International Chinese Language Teachers Scholarship. Confucius Institutes, independent Confucius Classrooms, some Chinese Language Examination Centers, relevant foreign educational institutions, Chinese language teacher training programs/Chinese language faculties in universities, relevant Chinese language teaching organizations in foreign countries, and Chinese Embassies/Consulates in foreign countries (hereinafter referred to as the recommending organizations) are allowed to recommend outstanding students and in-service Chinese language teachers to study and further their studies in international Chinese language education and related majors at the University. The application procedures are announced as follows:
Ⅰ Qualification of Candidate
1.Non-Chinese citizens
2.Should be friendly to China, have no criminal record, and abide by the laws and regulations of the Chinese government and the rules and regulations of the DUFE;
3.In good physical and mental conditions, and with a good record of academic performance and conduct;
4.Aspire to Chinese language education, Chinese Language teaching and related education career;
5.Be aged between 16 and 35 years on September 1, 2025. The maximum age limit for in-service Chinese teachers may be extended to 45.
Ⅱ Scholarship Categories and Application Conditions
Ⅲ Scholarship Coverage
Scholarship funding includes: tuition, accommodation, living expenses（Except Four-Week Study Program） and comprehensive medical insurance. Among them, the standard of living expenses: RMB 2,500/month for one-year and one-semester trainees; and RMB 3,000/month for Master of Chinese International Education students.
Ⅳ The Application Deadline
Enrollment in July 2026: April 15th, 2026
Enrollment in September 2026: May 15th, 2026
Enrollment in December 2026: September 15th, 2026
Enrollment in March 2027: October 31st, 2026
Ⅴ The Application Process
Online registration at the International Chinese Language Teachers Scholarship application website (http://www.chinese.cn). Please log on to search for recommending institutions and host institutions(Dongbei University of Finance and Economics); upload application materials online; and track the application progress, comments and results. Scholarship holders need to confirm with the host institutions to go through the procedures of studying in China, print out the scholarship certificate online, and register at host institutions on the designated date as per the letter of admission.
Ⅵ Other
1. Students must submit valid HSK transcripts（Validity period: 2 years）
2. Our university as an excellent HSK test point is a recommending institutions for the International Chinese Language Teachers Scholarship. If students need our university as a recommending institutions, please contact our university contact email for communication.
3. Applicants who have received similar scholarships within the past three years will not be admitted to either semester-long or academic-year research programs.
4. The scholarship eligibility will be cancelled in cases of failing the entrance physical examination, dropping out halfway, failing to report on time without permission, or taking a leave of absence.
