CSC Scholarship Application Information 2022
1. Scholarship Categories
Undergraduate students, Master's students, Doctoral students, General scholars, senior scholars
2. Where to Apply
Type A: Apply to the dispatching authorities of your country or local Chinese embassy or consulate. For Pre-admission letter, the applicants can contact us and we will offer the letter for the eligible candidates. When the applicant got the scholarship qualification successfully, CSC will inform universities to recruit the candidate by virtue of the pre-admission letter directly. Please consult the dispatching authorities for the scholarship categories, application deadline and application procedures.
Type B: Chinese Government Scholarship-Chinese University Program. This scholarship is only available to Master's and doctoral students.
*Applicants may apply through our university directly, please do not consult the agencies or the third party to avoid being cheated.
3. Majors
All majors are open to application,please check the appendix.
4. Instruction Language
(1) All the programs are instructed in Chinese (students may apply one year Chinese preparatory course if their Chinese level does not reach the criteria).
(2) The following majors are instructed currently in English:
Undergraduate program: Business Administration
Master's program: Tourism Management,International Trade, Enterprise Management, Financial Management, E-commerce, Management Science and Engineering, Engineering Management
Doctoral program: Financial Management, Accounting, Auditing, Finance, Management Science and Engineering, Statistics, E-commerce, World Economy, Quantitative Economics, Western Economics, International Trade, Public Finance, Human Resources Management, Education Economics and Management, Marketing,Enterprise Management,Tourism Management, Industrial Economics, Industrial Organization etc.
(3) Please contact School of International Education for more information if applicants want to apply other majors instructed in English.
5. Content and Criteria of Scholarship
(1) The duration of Bachelor's Program is 4 years, Chinese Language & Business Chinese Program students, General scholars and Senior Scholars are 1 year, Master's Program is 2(professional degree) or 2.5(academic degree) years and Doctoral Program is 3 years. Duration for scholarship specified at the admission notice is cannot be extended in principle.
(2) Scholarship is full amount including: tuition, accommodation fee, comprehensive medical insurance, and living allowance (only for students who will be studying in China).
(3) In some countries, International travel expenses may be covered to the students who apply for scholarship through Type A. For further information please contact the related dispatching authorities. International travel expenses are not included for students who apply through Type B.
(4) Living allowance (only for students who will be studying in China) is granted to the scholarship students monthly. Doctoral degree students and senior scholars: 3500 RMB/month, Master's degree students and general scholars: 3000 RMB/month, Bachelor's degree: 2500 RMB/month.
6. Requirements for Applicants
(1) Applicants have to be the foreigners who obey Chinese laws and regulations and university disciplines, respect Chinese customs and habits and have good morality.
(2) Applicants for Undergraduate Degree program (Type A applications only) must have high school degree certified by MOE and be under age of 25.
(3) Applicants for Master's Degree program must have Undergraduate degree certified by MOE and two recommendation letters by professors or associate professors and be under age of 35.
(4) Applicants for Doctoral Degree program must have Master's degree certified by MOE and two recommendation letters by professors or associate professors and be under age of 40.
(5) Applicants for general scholars (Type A applications only) must have high school degree certified by MOE and be under age of 45.
(6) Applicants for senor scholars (Type A applications only) must have Master's degree certified by MOE and be associate professor or higher and under age of 50.
(7) Applicants have no other scholarships from China government.
7. Application Procedures
(1) Applicants who apply for scholarship through Type A: Applicants should register and log in ‘The Chinese Government Scholarship Information System' (http://studyinchina.csc.edu.cn),fill in and submit the application form. Please choose ‘Program Category Type A' in the system. The ‘Agency Number' can only be obtained from the dispatching authorities. For applicants who want to obtain Pre-admission letter from DUFE also need to register and log in ‘DUFE Online Application For International Students' (http://study.dufe.edu.cn), fill in and submit the application form. Please inform us by email after submission.
(2)Applicants who apply for scholarship though Type B: Applicants should register and log in ‘The Chinese Government Scholarship Information System' (http://studyinchina.csc.edu.cn) and also ‘DUFE Online Application For International Students' (http://study.dufe.edu.cn), fill in and submit the application form. Please choose ‘Program Category Type B' in the system. The ‘agency number' of DUFE is 10173.
*The application will not be accepted if a wrong agency number is filled.
8. Application Documents (please provide all the documents in Chinese or English)
(1)Notarized highest degree certificate.
Prospective diploma recipients must submit official document issued by your current school to prove your current student status or expected graduation date,degree certificate must be submitted at registration time. The applicant who has been employed shall submit the employment certificate issued by the employer. Documents in languages other than Chinese or English must be attached with notarized Chinese or English translations.
(2) Academic transcripts.
Transcripts in languages other than Chinese or English must be attached with notarized Chinese or English translations.
(3) Certificate of HSK or BCT for the program instructed in Chinese (not necessary); Certificate of IELTS or TOEFL for programs instructed in English (except mother language is English).
(4) Physical Examination Record for Foreigner (printed by Chinese Quarantine Authorities), original copies of Physical Examination Record for Foreigner must be carried when entering China.
(5) Certificate of No Criminal Record.
(6) Study and Research Scheme (at least 800 words).
(7) Recommendation letters from two professors or associate professors for applicants who apply for Master's program and Doctoral Program.
(8) Scanned copy of passport.
(9)Resume.
(10)Lists of publication (including paper title, journal name and time), if any.
(11)Lists of award certificates or works for particular talents and special skills, if any.
* All the application Documents must be submitted on ‘The Chinese Government Scholarship Information System' and ‘DUFE Online Application For International Students'. It is not necessary to post the hand copies.
* For doctoral degree applicants, the acceptance letter from DUFE’s doctoral supervisor is not required (if any, please attached). We will assign supervisor for eligible candidates according to the application documents.

Appendix: List of Majors
Introduction to Dongbei University of Finance and Economics
Dongbei University of Finance and Economics (DUFE) is located in Dalian in the northeast of China. Dalian is one of the most vibrant cities in China and also a great place to live and study. DUFE was founded in 1952 and now it becomes one of China’s top-ranked finance, banking and economics universities, consistently in the top three places for cultivating the most qualified graduates. DUFE is located in Dalian.
DUFE insists on discipline-orientated strategy. Among the existing disciplines, Finance, Industrial Economics and Accounting are national key disciplines approved by the Ministry of Education and Ministry of Finance, and Quantitative Economics is the national key (cultivation) discipline. There are 6 first-level discipline postdoctoral research stations which subjects are Theoretical Economics, Applied Economics, Statistics, Business Administration, Public Administration, Management Science and Engineering. There are 6 first-level discipline Doctor's authorizations, 42 second-level discipline Doctor's authorizations and 16 categories full-time Master’s authorizations such as Finance, International Business, Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages. DUFE offers 41 bachelor's degree program, including Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Finance, Statistics, Taxation, Insurance, Engineering Management, Tourism Management, which are national characteristic majors, and Economic Statistics, Public Finance, Science of Banking, Engineering Management, Business Administration, Marketing, Human Resource Management, Logistics, Accounting, Financial Management, Labor and Social Security, E-Commerce, Tourism Management which are in National list of first-class undergraduate program construction.
As a pilot university of the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China, the university has obtained the quality accreditation on studying abroad in China. It is one of the host institutes of Chinese Government Scholarship, International Chinese Teacher Scholarship, Liaoning Provincial Government Scholarship and a Confucius Institute Full Time Teacher Reserve School. It is also a test center of national Chinese Proficiency Test (HSK) and Business Chinese Test (BCT), and has established the Confucius Institute Performance Evaluation and Financial Management Research and Training Center. There are three Confucius Institutes have been set up in the United States, the Netherlands and Slovakia.DUFE was once awarded the Nationwide Outstanding Institute for International Student Education,Liaoning Province demonstration university of foreign students to study in China,Advanced Education Unit for Foreign Students in Liaoning Province.DUFE is one of the first series of model programs for foreign students to study in Liaoning province.
