Notice on the Opening and Return for Autumn 2021 of School of International Educ

According to The Implementation Plan for Autumn 2021 of Dongbei University of Finance and Economics (DUFE), and in combination with the reality of School of International Education (SIE), the arrangement of SIE of the opening and return for Autumn 2021 is notified as follows:

 

1. Registration and payment (international students)

1.1. Registration

1.1.1. Online registration for non-freshmen (undergraduates and postgraduates) is from August 26th to 28th.

1.1.2. Online registration for freshmen (undergraduates and postgraduates) and language students is from September 1st to 3rd.

1.1.4. If ones fail to register on time and fail to go through the leave procedures,the students will be disqualified from their study.

1.2. Payment

1.2.1. Undergraduate and postgraduate international students in China should complete the payment through the unified payment platform of DUFE, and the time period of payment will be notified separately.

1.2.2. Language students in China should complete the payment through the unified payment platform of DUFE from August 30th to September 3rd.

1.2.3. International students outside China (undergraduates, postgraduates and language students) should complete the payment by bank remittance (in USD) before September 3rd . Please send the receipt of bank remittance before September 5th to jinyingman@dufe.edu.cn

2. Arrangement of opening and courses

2.1. Non-freshmen (undergraduates and postgraduates) will start courses on August 30th.

2.2. Language students will start courses on September 6th.

2.3. Undergraduate freshmen majored in Chinese language and International trade (international student class) as well as postgraduate freshmen will start courses on September 15th.

2.4. The arrangement of courses for undergraduate freshmen in other majors will be notified separately.

2.5. The detailed arrangement of courses will be notified according to student types separately.


3. Arrangement of returning to school

3.1. Non-freshmen (undergraduates and postgraduates)

3.1.1. Online courses will be offered from August 30th to September 10th. The health monitoring shall be carried out for at least 14 consecutive days at the meanwhile.

3.1.2. Students from outside of Liaoning Province return to school on September 6th.

3.1.3. On September 8th, after all the returned students from outside of Liaoning Province pass the nucleic acid test, the students in the province will be arranged to return to school.

3.2. Freshmen (undergraduates and postgraduates)

3.2.1. The students shall not travel from August 27th and the health monitoring shall be carried out for at least 14 consecutive days. 

3.2.2. Students from outside of Liaoning Province, including undergraduates majored in Chinese language and International trade (international student class) as well as postgraduates, return to school on September 10th.

3.2.3. On September 12th, after all the returned students from outside of Liaoning Province pass the nucleic acid test, the students in the province, including undergraduates majored in Chinese language and International trade (international student class) as well as postgraduates, will be arranged to return to school.

3.2.4. Since September 15, after the nucleic acid test results are all qualified, offline teaching for undergraduates majored in Chinese language and International trade (international student class) as well as postgraduates will be arranged, and the school opening ceremony will be held in due time according to the situation of epidemic prevention and control.

3.2.5. The arrangement for undergraduate students in other majors will be notified separately.

3.3. Students not returning to school temporarily

Before returning to school, students who live in key controlled areas in China (counties, districts and county-level cities where medium and high-risk areas are located) and who stayed or traveled in key controlled areas within 14 days (including back-to-school trip) should not return to school temporarily. After the area where the students locate is reduced to low risk, the students shall return to school (registration) with the negative nucleic acid test report issued within 48 hours before boarding intercity transportation, “green” codes of both Liaoshitong Health Pass Code (辽事通健康通行码) and Communication Big Data Travel Card (国务院客户端防疫行程卡). The nucleic acid test shall be conducted as soon as returning to school and follow-up management measures shall be strictly implemented according to the local prevention and control requirements. Teachers and students who have symptoms such as fever, dry cough, fatigue, sore throat, decreased sense of smell (taste) and diarrhea one week before returning to school shall report to the school in time and return to school after being cured.

3.4. Overseas international students

Overseas students may come to China only after their application be approved in accordance with the relevant policies of the National Immigration Administration of China. After entering China, the students should return to school in accordance with the relevant regulations of local epidemic prevention and control and the requirements of school prevention and control measures.

 

4. Reminder

4.1. Students shall return to school with the negative nucleic acid test report issued within 48 hours before boarding intercity transportation, “green” codes of both Liaoshitong Health Pass Code (辽事通健康通行码) and Communication Big Data Travel Card (国务院客户端防疫行程卡). 

4.2. Students in the province who arrive at the school by public transport and students from outside the province shall be tested for nucleic acid as soon as returning to school. Before the nucleic acid test results are issued, the students should not participate in group meals and other offline activities, and personal protection shall be done well.

4.3. Freshmen are encouraged to register on their own. Parents or other companies and private vehicles are not allowed to enter the school. The west side of Zhishuyuan student apartment area will be arranged as a temporary parking lot  to reduce vehicle congestion as much as possible.

4.4. On the way back to school, teachers and students should carry sufficient personal protective articles such as masks, wear masks throughout the whole process, maintain social distance, maintain good personal hygiene, and report relevant personal information in a timely and truthful manner.

4.5. After students return to school, closed management will be implemented for a period of time, and adjustment will be made after the domestic epidemic situation is effectively controlled.
